Carrying The Groove Forward
Silas Caldwell grew up in Tupelo, Mississippi, in a house just steps from Elvis Presley’s birthplace.
His earliest memories are of van rides and live music with his father, bassist Tony Caldwell, who played alongside members of the Burnside and Kimbrough families.
By fourteen, Silas had found his own voice in Hill Country Blues, drawn to its hypnotic rhythms and unrelenting grooves.
Named an “Artist To Watch” by Relix Magazine, Silas spent 2024 touring the Southeast, sharing the traditions of this music—born in North Mississippi yet rooted in global sound—with new audiences.
His work has also extended to the National Endowment for the Arts, further cementing his commitment to preserving and celebrating cultural heritage.

The Kimbrough-Caldwell Band
The Kimbrough‑Caldwell Band is a Hill Country blues group led by Silas Caldwell and Kinney “Kent” Kimbrough, son of blues legend Junior Kimbrough.
They carry forward the hypnotic, unrelenting groove of the genre with both veteran mastery and new energy.
The core lineup features Silas Caldwell (guitar/vocals), Tony Caldwell (bass), and Kinney Kimbrough (drums).
Their shows reunite the iconic rhythm section of Junior Kimbrough’s “Soul Blues Boys” — Kinney on drums and Garry Burnside (GRAMMY‑nominated, son of R.L. Burnside) — with Silas representing the next generation of North Mississippi blues artists.
The band is currently recording their debut album, blending historical authenticity with fresh energy to keep the Hill Country tradition alive as a living, evolving sound.
